Astra Anderson Galang

Astra joined Parsons in 2003 as director of administration after 14 years with Southern California Grantmakers, where she had broad responsibilities in finance, operations and human resources. A native of Belize, Astra is a member of Foundation Administrators of California, an affinity group of administrative and human resources managers and Foundational Financial Officers Group. Astra was promoted to chief financial officer in 2008. She received her bachelor’s degree in business administration from Northern Caribbean University in Jamaica and is a graduate of Concord Law School in Los Angeles. She worked in private sector administrative and finance earlier in her career.
